Agenda and Motions

Motions are the prerequisites for decisions. Without an explicitly worded motion participants will not have a clear idea of what they are voting on.

Motion 2014-005

Whereas the participants in a town hall meeting are not meeting regularly

and Whereas participants in a town hall meeting will not have an in-depth knowledge of all of the issues that will arise in a town hall meeting

and Whereas participants will not feel that a town hall meeting was worthwhile if the meeting was unclear or confused or disorganized

now therefore be it Resolved

that every town hall meeting have a prepared agenda

and be it further Resolved that items on the agenda be in the form of motions that require decisions

and be it further Resolved that a motion will not be considered unless it has a signed mover and seconder

and be it further Resolved that, when a motion is carried or lost, the results of the vote will be recorded along with the date

and be it further Resolved that the meeting agenda will be posted at the Denbigh post office and available on the Internet at least one week prior to the meeting
